Home Dance Studio a Guide

Renting a dance studio by the hour can be costly but if you’ve got a lot of space to spare in your house why not make one yourself. It’s tedious but it can be done with a little effort and a bit of money but the payoff is worth it.

Here is a guide to achieve that private dance studio you’ve always wanted right at your home.

Dance Studio

Location of the dance studio

The location of the dance studio in your home should be given ample thought. As it is important, you’ll have to make sure that it is located far away from bedrooms and no second floor studios as it could disturb your family with the noise. If that cannot be allowed then consider getting a great soundproofing system. That would of course add to your cost but there are some DIY you can try like noise reduction panels or sound absorbing foams, even those paper like egg trays can be used.

Floor are important to the studio.

Floors are important to the studio but it is actually whatever you preferences are. If you don’t like carpeted floors or concrete floors you can have someone install laminate flooring or you can do it yourself. There are many nice laminate flooring that has really good wood floor finish look. You can even go get wood floor instead, if you kind find good quality that won’t cost you as much. Plus a good floor can be forgiving to your joints and knees so consider getting it done.

Mirror, mirror on the walls

Perhaps mirrors is something that you can’t opt out of. You need it so you can see the steps you make and what can you do to improve them. Mirrors can be expensive but there are some things you can try to get quality mirrors for a fraction of a price. Try looking for it online, look for listings that might be selling mirrors because they aren’t using it anymore or wants a new look for the house. You can also go to thrift stores maybe you can find a good one too. You’ll have to decide if you want it mounted on your wall or if it leaning there. Visit our website to learn more. Consider the pros and cons of that and also review contracts if you are only renting the house.

The Sound System

You can totally go for surround sound if that is what you want and have the budget for it. However, a good speaker can do the job too plus you can move it, hide it or do whatever with it if you want to use the room for an occasion. You can also use your headphones or earphones if the budget doesn’t allow any of that yet. The important thing is you can hear the beat and you can dance to it.

Dancers pretty much are lucky that they can do what they are passionate about with supplies that can be used again and again if they are well taken care of. Investment pieces as they say, well you can totally have a nice dance studio that you can dance on.
